Default Lew's Vectra C SRI (Picture Heavy)

Hey everyone and welcome to my vehicle diary.

I bought this back in early Aug 2011...

    It's a 2.2 non-direct petrol SRI

There was some things that had already been done to the car, it was already lowered and it has a K&N Filter fitted too... but I think that'll be getting replaced soon.

When I got the car, there were a few things that needed to be fixed. And with the help of this forum I was able to do most things myself without having to take it to a garage. This included the common heater blower fault, non working rear wiper and washer jet. Got these all fixed within the first couple of weeks of having the car.

But one of the 1st things I done was fit in my Sony MEX-BT3800U Stereo which I got a couple of months before I got the Vec, but after fitting it, I soon discovered that the sound quality from the rear wasn't that great... but after a long while playing about, I managed to get the settings just the way I want them and it sounds awesome!

So... after having the car a good couple of weeks, I went out and bought some new car wash stuff... I opted for the Farécla G3 products as this was on offer at Halfrauds... and it didn't disappoint.

I think next time I clean my car, I'm gonna go all out and get a rotary polisher and get some really good quality products to make my car look amazing... but that'll be some point in the spring/summer.

So, after having the car over a month and being on this forum... my debit card got BATTERED (Thanks guys!) And here are some pics of my purchases...

    Sunglasses Holder:

    New Gearstick Leather Gaiter:

    Old & New:

    New Fitted:

    Power Outlet Cap:

Now they are only little things... but little things like this make a big difference!

Now I'm 2-3 months into having the car... and still my card is still getting a hammering... So I decided to give LED Conversion a bash... and here are the results:

As some people may agree... the pictures don't really show the full effect, but in person they're amazing! It's also the 1st thing people comment on when getting into the car for the 1st time... in a good way of course lol. It really makes the car look even more modern.

Anyway... its been pretty quiet over Nov & Dec and not really done much, but over the last week I've been able to pick up a couple of alloy centre caps as I was missing 2... so all wheels look all complete now

I ordered some Ring XenonMax Ultima Bulbs... one word to describe them.... AMAZING! Along with the headlight adjustment mod, I could not believe how much of difference it makes!

    These are the bulbs

And to give you an idea of what they're like shining down/up a road:

Along with this, I got a 3M Headlight Restoration Kit...

It's made my headlights look from this...

    To this...

Overall, i'm very impressed and also pleased with how things are turning out.

Next on my agenda, will be to have my alloys refurbed but also sort out a big scratch that I have on the side of my car (It was like that when I bought it)

Drew a line to give you an idea how big it is...

I've been quoted £240 to get it sorted... so thats a job for when its warmer.

Anyway, thats it for now... but i'll update once I have more bits

    Lew

Lots of nice mods already completed. Think the Vectra's really suit black paintwork.

    Hey every,

Well he's my next lil mod. Thanks to SRIDAN for selling me his steering wheel cover for a bargain price of £7.50, it arrived in the post today and got it fitted.

Took a lil while to get on as its mainly for facelift models (I assume) But I got there in the end.

    What you think?

Certainly beats the black cover don't you think?
