    Default Spacesaver or steel wheel

    Hi all,

I discovered at the weekend that the reason my wheel keeps loosing presure is becuase I have managed to dent the inside of the rimby hitting a pothole... :@

    Anyway,

I am running 18" alloys at present. The car orignialy had 16" steels on it. I have never even looked at my spare wheel before...

Do I have a space saver and if so will it be ok to use with the alloys or would I be better putting a 16" steel back on instead?

Im not planning on using the car much, while the wheel is off being fixed, if at all.

    What's your thoughts...?

Oh, and here is the wheel...!

You'll have a space saver (unless someone swapped it for a steel wheel sometime in the past), but how come you couldn't just lift up the boot floor and have a look?

(Can someone tell me how much loose change is in my jacket pocket please?)

Think legally, you should only use the space saver spare wheel, otherwise the Police may pull you for having different size wheels on the same axle.

Just asking as the space saver is in the car and Im in work suddenly wondering about this...

I will be changing the tyre tonight (in the dark) so wanted to know which was the best way to deal with this ahead of doing the job....

oh and I think you will find you have £3.46 in change in your left pocket...

Cool... space saver it is tonight!

You are likely to have a spacesaver in the boot which I think are dangerous. You are limited to 50 mph max and also distance as well (cannot remember how far).

I owould use the steel wheel and burn the spacesaver
