    Default Scroll wheels question

    Hi All,
The rubber on my volume scroll wheel has worn away to the point where it's down to hard plastic, anyone got any idea how much a replacement would be from vauxhall or where else to get one from?

    Thanks in advance.

I was wondering this, is it possible to dismantle the unit and rotate the wheel 180 degrees in the housing?

No the wheel is only a half wheel so you cannot rotate it. I got a right hand one off ebay (they are rarely used compared to the volume one) and took them apart to swap the wheel into my righthand one...

You can strip and just change the actual scroll wheels..

I have done mine and chrisvectra's now..

You can swap the left wheel with the right (and vice versa) as the left one tends to get used the least..

    Fiddley but not a problem

....also a note if you are buying a complete replacement control.

the PREface FULL canbus controlls are different to the facelift controls and are not a standard plug and play fit.

the PREface controls have a wire hardwired into the conrol that has a plug that then plugs into the steering wheel. The facelift are the opposite where the control just has a socket and the wire and plug are attached to the steering wheel loom.

cheers AntSSSS, if I bought a switch to swap the wheels. would it matter if it was a Pre facelift or a facelift?
