    Default Which oil???

I know this is probably very common knowledge but I have to ask - what oil do I use in a 2003 1.8 Vec? Have tried the web and it gives me a choice of 4 different flavours - 0/30, 0/40, 5/30, 5/40.

If I cant find it on the net then who else better to ask than the owners of said vehicles.

    Any help always appreciated.

    Tony

5w30 fully synthetic is what vauxhall recommended but if you've got high mileage then I would plump fro 10w40 semi synthetic

My other car. 1972 1641cc slammed beetle. On the road finally!!

That's got me thinkin... Why would you change to 10 40w semi? I've also got 107k on the clock.

This engine doesn't actually need fully synth (older design engine)
10w40 slightly thicker can help with a few of the rattles lol
If you have always run on 5w30 fully and still OK, then carry on, from memory 2004 on all Vauxhall petrol engine cars switched to 5w30 fully synth.
