Does my sri have

Morning all

Am sure one of you can help I have a 57 vec c Sri and I'm sure I have either seen on here something about rain sensor wipers ?? Will mine have it or is it a upgrade

Think this was one of the toys Vx removed to save money when the facelift was introduced. Have you got around your rear-view mirror stem a large light grey cover that extends down your windscreen for approx 5" from the headlining, or a much smaller black cover (about 2.5" long) around the stem? I'm guessing the latter, which would suggest no rain sensor.
Search "rain sensor" in the Electrical/ICE sub-forum in 'Modifying' - there's lots and lots of threads about this mod.

Preface yes, but not on facelifts. Only on Elite and Design trim on facelifts.

Mine doesn't even have it
It was an option from 2005MY onwards

Equally, glad it doesn't have it, my previous Mondeo had this and hated it
How difficult is it to press a switch...
Might explain why (some) drivers can't indicate either, as that is on the other side

it either stays on when its stopped raining of goes pull-pelt when its just mizzling (very light rain)

was it a added extra as a 53 plate sri has it and also seen them on a 03 gsi but my 54 gsi doesnt have it and it doesnt have headlight washers which ive seen them on a 03 gsi as well
but have to admit my scenic had it and it drove me crazy

I unplugged mine,dont rate it at all,just control the wipers with the button on stalk..so much easier imo.

Its on my 06 Design and works well, there is a control on top of the stem which controls the sensitivity.
