1.9 CDTI SRI 08 plate ..Redex in the tank ...or ..not ?

Whats the real truth behind this product ?

I use it in my Petrol, but then ive always used it and some say using it for first time (depending on mileage of your car) can sometimes cause trouble.....Never really heard of anyone having trouble though. But not sure on cdti's buddy.

Use it in my v6 Cdti with no problems. But other people say you shouldn't use it

It you want the proper stuff use BG products to clean your fuel system. Redex is the poor mans version

I've been using Redex Diesel Treatment for a while without issue. I recently read in AutoExpress that early Insignia's can occassionally misfire at motorway speeds but this is easily cured by using a fuel treatment such as Redex.

It you want the proper stuff use BG products to clean your fuel system. Redex is the poor mans version

I'd avoid it. Used it a few times years ago and it never did what it claimed.

Used Forte treatments ever since and they far exceed what they claim to do and worth the extra couple of £s

I tried it last week I put it in couldn't notice anything ..... Only thing I noticed was when I filled my fuel up when I had 10 miles left was when i first started the car it smelt funny
