    man has always been carp for the environment through industrial processes, waste etc. it was bad in 1930s and it's just as bad now.
    or make that worse now - because china are wrecking the place more than ever.

    here's a look at how air quality has improved considerably since the 1950s, so it certainly wasn't as "green" back then as they are trying to make out: -

    I thought 35 was being a bit generous too. Im 40 but remember all of the bloggers points. How many of us remember going to the tip with garden clippings, not throwing them in a bin. How many of us remember the outside bin, you got 1 black bag a week, they were a lot less than half the capacity of the wheelie bins we have now, and quite often they weren't full come bin day either. Left overs were put in the fridge, not thrown in the bin. We never had 4 or 5 TV's in a house, we had one.

    Yes I like that, that just how it happened in my young days. if we still had some of these systems this place would bve a better place now.

    im 29 and remember most of that - granted its more aimed at my parents but even I used to remember taking the bottles back!!!
