What about them? The rest of us are not getting them this time around anyway.

Unlikely. We use Sterling at the moment anyway, we already have have Scottish Sterling up here, which is not welcome "down saff" at the moment and no one I've ever talked to want or thinks the Euro is a good idea. Happenings of late have proved that. TBH its the Only thing Tony Blair ever got right.

?? We already have our own armed forces, all the Home Nations do. Royal Regiment of Scotland, The Royal Welsh etc....

I dunno, used to think Independence was a good idea, not 100% sure these days.
As far as I'm concerned we are the UK.....Great Britain.
You aint got your own armed forces mate. The word Royal tells you That. If you want Independence then you should lose everything and stand on your own. You know that wont happen.
This is what really get my goat.....You want independence but with all of the perks.
Look back in history, its been going on for century's.

You can have it for me but I think we are stronger as a people if we all stand together.

Not english Irish scot's n welsh but British people.

Exactly as Steve said above an im NORTHERN IRISH, and a proud BIRITSH Citizen

However on this poll it seems its being taken in good humour however i doubt few (including myself) of us on here have a proper and deep enough understanding of the politics involved and pros and cons of both remaining as one and also splitting the nations.

However i know i would prefer to remain part of the UK.

I find it ironic that a country that pays the same taxes as us... and gets free further education... free prescriptions etc wants to leave the very union that is off-setting the cost? The population of Scotland is only 5 million compared to 51 million in England! Without the English that make up around 84% of the UK population I would like to see them still enjoy the same benefits as they do now should they only be recieving tax from 5 million at most.

Think this oil in the North Sea has gone to someones head... the UK's main money makers are in the City! London... not Glasgow... without London the UK wouldn't be a big player.

At the end of the day though it is ONE lunatic of a man trying to stand out with his view.. a lot of Jocks I have spoken to would love to be on their own but they know it would be a stupid thing to do... don't even bring in the whole 'joining the Euro stuff too'!

I don't even agree that there should be a seperate parliament for Scotland, Wales and N. Ireland (Although each country should be represented of course). Not unless their taxes solely paid for their benefits... in which case there would be no point in the Union. As with the Euro, everyone should pay the same and recieve the same!

But oh well thats my view

Luke Glasgow ain't the capital of Scotland. Poor geography. Have you ever been here? If I read the papers the general impression I get is the rest of the UK don't particurarly care whether we stay or go. I think as a nation Scotland can survive - most other countries do so why should it be any different?

Also who are the big earners in London exactly? Last count of the oil it was £8Billion, which is something in this age isn't to be brushed off likely. <<< (I don't particurarly like that arguement as it is really petty, but since it's been introduced (only a matter of time I'll just pass on my take on it).

Not for anyone on here to decide anyhow so what's the point and I think Scotland on its own would cope better rather than being the united kingdom

Just because some idiot politians want to hold a referendum up in scotland for independance doesn't mean thats what the will of the people is. I for one am not for independance.

They are going to turn the referendum into a farse just like they have the trams in Edinburgh.

Lets face it, in reality the UK is really divided into London and everywhere else.
