Default What 19" tyres are people using?

Was wondering what make tyres people use, as mine don't seem to be lasting. The last set on the front were Kumho and they are well bald at just over 8k. The pair prior to them were Neuton which lasted a little longer, about 10k but which are currently unavailable from Neo brothers. Also wondering about Nankang NS2's as they are relatively cheap. I commute 50miles a day so i can't go fitting anything more than say £130-a-piece tyres but i do have to rag it when i'm late ...oh and rag it to get home quicker ...boxed 150 with 314 brake upgrade

I was running Avon ZZ3's all round, they seemed OK, wore well, and seemed to perform OK for an everyday tyre. When I came to replace the fronts a couple of months back, the ZZ3's had shot through the roof in price (From ~£110 each to ~£200 each), so I went with the garage's suggestion and put a pair of Fulda (452 seems to spring to mind) on.

They are a non-reinforced trye, so are a little softer ride on the Flakes. They don;t seem too bad, but I don't think they will wear as long as the Avons. I think once they need changing I'll go back, as the ZZ5 seems to have come down in price and replaced the ZZ3.

driven hard, around 12k miles on fronts isn't bad. impressive that they last that long when constantly put to the test.

I used Nankang when I had my snowies. A good compromise between grip and longevity and price

My other car. 1972 1641cc slammed beetle. On the road finally!!

There's a slight problem with that, if you look at the first post you will see that you can't get hold of the Neutons at the moment. Neo Brothers seem to be having problems getting them by the looks of it as I do believe they haven't had stock of them for about 4-5 months.

discontinued. i cud of got toyo proxi sports which are their replacements
but theyve got a boring tread pattern.
