    Default Ebay Fee's

Am I right in thinking that that the max amount ebay can charge is 10% of final fee up to £40 Max

Am I also right in understanding that this is for BIN and auction style advertisements only?

So in theory I could sell an item for £10,000 and the max fee would be £40?

    Thanks
    Kev

On the £40 and 10% thing, you're correct.

If you run your item as an auction, the BIN price has to a certain percentage above your starting price - can't remember what the % is right now. This is why you have to use a reserve price in auctions if it's something of value and where Leedsvectra might come unstuck selling his motor with no reserve and to the highest bidder.

IMO, £40 ain't bad for advertising costs in the grand scheme of things if you're selling for £10k.

Just think how I felt when I sold my canoe for £440, only to be charged another £40 for the damned privilage . Suffice to say I wasn't aware of their chrages at the time.

your right about 10% it works out good for expensive things but when your selling items £100 and under it works out expensive i have sold 6 items today and my fees are now at £54.39 and still have another 10 items to sell and 5 or 6 more to list
