    Default alloy protection

Does anyone know the best stuff without being highly priced to use on alloy wheels.

Please dont laugh but today I used stage 2 megs polish then stage 3 carnuba wax to end .

I understand it wont last long due to the heat off the brakes is this true . I have seen a few wheel waxes about but whats the better one ? Helpy pleasey .

    Options:
    1. Poorboys wheel sealant. Very good, about £15 inc p&p
    2. Autoglym EGP. Very good, about £ 6-8 in Halfords.

I used Poorboys wheel sealant and thought it very good, used it all up and for the time being I'm using up my AG EGP on them to see what its like. OK for now. Some people over on DW use it on alloy wheels as well.

I have been known to use "megs" paint sealent then PS21S Canuba wax on mine, when I get the chance I want to put some Colinite 476s on them for the winter.

Auto Glym Alloy Wheel Seal. This stuff is fantastic. Give your wheels a good wash, dry them then apply this. Future brake dust deposits just rinse off.
