    Default Swirl bar

Have read on various threads that the swirl bar can become detached and therefore become useless. What I want to know is can I pull mine off, as mine is still attached and be able to push it back on again. In other words is it permanantly fixed or a push on pull off type of part.
It looks like it all still works down there just want to clean things up around that area and would be easier with the swirl bar removed.

    BTW it's the 150 CDTi

Yeah it's a bit oily down there, the car runs great and swirl bar still attached but a bit floppy.
Is it about to drop off? And can the swirl pots be fixed (leaky) or is it a new manifold?

Squirt some soapy water down onto the top of the flaps. Start the engine, if it bubbles up, it's new manifold time.. (well, you can start planning atleast)
