Default Chuffs SRi CDTi 150 - the Problem Car

After starting work for Vauxhall, that I would buy mesen one, and thats where the opened.

A trip to south wales sourced me a lowish miles, resonably priced 150 CDTi and a deal was done.

Collection day with 2 fellow Diesel Heads

then at home with its little brother

so far so good, then it all went a bit wrong

To start with the DMF went soon after so thankfully it was sorted at work on the cheap

    and she was back on the road . . . .. . . . .

    next up the polis incident

So a good road test was required, so a trip to the IOW was planned, ut i wasnt expecting to be escorted by 3 of Thames Valleys finest

It would seem that the last owner and her boyfriend were both wanted as he should have been and the car had 2 markers on it.

Still, 40 minutes later and i was allowed to progress on my way

Next up was to prepare for winter, so a set of Alloys were sourced from on here and a set of 4 matched part worns were fitted at work for free

Well worth then money, still they have kept the shed weighted down I suppose

So after getting abused daily for a few weeks, a cambelt change, flying thru its MOT without issue and a full service I thought my demons were over

    Then it had to happen

Alternator had gone so a quick call to the AA had me delivered to work and a oh so familiar site was seen again

still, same day and she was back out.

    Next up, the mods

starting with the practical and worthwhile mods, both sourced from this here site,

Window blinds and Pioneer speakers, which I really must get round to fitting,

Oh and because of a 4x4 decideding that he DID need all the road, I had a WAY too close encounter of the hedge kind, which has left some not so pretty lines all down the passenger side, and they look DEEP

    And thats it up to date . . . . . . . .

almost forgot, also got a Parrot MKi9200 fitted, a TOP bit of kit, and better than changing the headunit for an aftermarket bluetooth headunit

And made the most of my T break at work this afternoon, car was covered in road grime. its almost like I was getting paid to wash my own car

    well its all done

    the jigsaw puzzle pieces.

    old system came off easily,

then we hit the BIGGEST* problem of the day, the bumper trim, what a TeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaT of a job to get that off,

so in the end i got it off the easy way

then the new ( but old ) system went on, a breeze, but it was a genuine system which helped

and back on the floor, dual smoke machine functional test carried out
