    Default How do i get to the back of 12v socket

    OK i need to get to the back of the 12v power socket the one at the front of the car ( ciggy lighter )

    How do i get to it, tried to remove ashtray base but couldnt do it ?

    Any tips, this is so i can power my Road Angel

    Note this is a Signum 2006 model

    Yep, but he possible has the same problem as I have: ashtray won't move

    Is that a difference on the facelift then? How do you get to the ODB II (Tech 2) socket then?

    I tried this but didnt want to pull too hard and break it !

    Yes the Tech2 socket is visible when the ash tray bit is lifted out but the ashtray lid frame is held in firm somehow

    It will unclip , take the inner section of the ash tray out so you can grip it and pull stright up , make sure you have removed the gear surround as well.

    If you don't have a rear lighter socket then you may have the wiring for it still. Mine has the live wires inside the centre box and that would be a much better place to take a feed from.

    Mine doesn't have the arm rest so it's quite easy to remove, just three screws but I've never attacked an arm rest one.
