if you upgraded the fronts to 314mm could you put the old fronts on the back???
if you upgraded the fronts to 314mm could you put the old fronts on the back???
All 4 discs are rusting through, so I need new discs regardless.
I'm just not sure what size and whether they require new calipers etc like the fronts do. Assuming I can find the calipers for the front that is of course!
Apologies for bringing this thread back up, but better than starting a new.
So I have managed to get some 17" Wolfrace alloys, although I do not know what model they are and if I need spigot rings to fit them, I know they came of an 06 Vectra 5 stud and will be going on my 56, but the guy said he found rings on the front but not the back, which makes no sense to me. Anyone able to tell me what these wheels are? Then I need to track down what PCD/ET they are etc and if I need Spigot's.
Further to that, now I 17's i'm going to go 314mm on the front discs, but what calipers do I need? As in what models have the calipers I need and/or where is a good place to get said calipers.
Also what size should I be looking at for the rear, and again do I need new calipers and where from?
Sorry for all the questions, but I would like to get these fitted very soon, so be good to know.
Cheers
Anyone???
314 were standard on 3.0 V6 CDTI, later model 3.2 GSi also 2.8T V6 so anyone breaking those models will be a source. People often sell them on here or eBay.
For rears the upgrade will be to 292mm, again standard on the above models along with the 2.0T which had 302mm front as standard.
You could go the whole hog and go to 345mm from a VXR! . I went from my 302 to 314 then to 345.

I imagine finding 345's might be a bit difficult though! lol.
I was gonna buy the discs new off of Autovaux or somewhere like that, then just need to source the calipers as they don't appear to have them. So will have to look for someone breaking one of the above models I guess.
