Default So how is the New Years training/gym going?

I have always trained but gets harder when working away so I started the year doing basic power lifts (Bench/Squats/Deadlifts/Clean&Jerk etc) to get the strength back up after 2 months of very little training.

Last week over 3 workouts I managed to get through a combined weight of 31,000kg over the 3 workouts.(I train at home not in a gym)

Needless to say that I ache is a HUGE understatement lol but always amazes after training for so many years how quickly your body remembers what you were training it to. My training this year is to pyramid train heavy for 2 weeks and then to train light with high reps for a week to allow the body to recover then start over. Also to increase overall fitness and try to get bodyfat to below 10% (Currently 12.9%) and maintain a leaner look at 15stone

So how are you all doing? Are you still on track with your goals 12days into the new year? Couple of the guys I work with started the gym and have quit it already!

I've started hitting it hard again this year, been going 6 times a week... but two of them are swimming only. but also started to run to the gym rather than drive, then concentrate on weights when im there.

I've doubled my excercise regime, I get twice as many cups of coffee a day which means more walking to the kitchen...

The last two or three months have been poor, only going the gym once or twice a week just getting fed up with it ha. So had a few weeks away from it and started back last week. I can only go three times a week as have too much to do of a night to go any more, regretting having so much time away now though as I did chest and shoulders last night and could hardly get out of bed this morning haha.

Been on a high protein diet since the 01 Jan 12 and drop weight.
    Was 14 st 10 , today I am 13 st 9 1/2.

Training like I was before diet and I feel shattered. High cardio training eg Boxing circuit.

Should not be doing this much but I want to do the below in November and donít want my body to get lazy.

Only doing the diet for 6 months and then back to normal, will then need to work on jogging/running as that is not really my forte in prep for the above
