    Default help with fitting towbar electrics

    as above please i have fitted the towbar with the bypass relay then i am stuck where to put the other wires to can i just wire them into rear lights any1 help please

    Yes, that's what I done. I used scotch locks and worked fine. Just use a circuit test totest each pin to see what they are used for

    I have wired it up everything works untill u plug light board in i know the ligbt board works cos i tryed it on brother car can any1 help

    Make sure you have a good earth! Most faults with towing electrics are due to a bad earth.

    Yeah got a gd earth when u plug light board in its making everything live d
    could it be the relay box wats fck and i need to use it my head burnt out with ideas

    Scotch locks and tapping into a can bus system does not seem a good idea.

    Does this have the fuse box in the boot and a auxilary for the wiring harness which plugs in? I know my 06 astra did and this was the way i fitted that.

    yes my fuse box in boot but know wiring for towbar can u think off anything else

    Has the Scotch locks actually made a good contact through the cable? Its better to scrape back the insulation and solder on directly.

    Test each connection with either a Voltage meter or a test bulb. If you still arent getting a signal through to the back, then it may be your towing relay box.

    Is the relay box earthed and also got a power supply to it?
