    Default silly question

its me again with another question. on my vec-c 1.9 cdti elite 150 if by chance i can activate my zenons as i got aftermaket hid's and leds in the sides. now would i be able to remove the warning cancellors from the hids as i think these are interferring with the radio when lights are on and sidelights strobe when car is off n parked up would this stop them
    many thanx

should stop the strobing, but think its the ballasts which cause the interference and not the cancellors

As far as i'm aware, you can't get the LED side light blubs to work in a vectra C as the canbus cause lots of niggles.

I have HID's on mine and have the canceling boxes AND they still strob, so I live with it.

Sorry you can't activate the xenon's as you dont have OE headlights fitted, you have a Xenon head light kit fitted. the car would'nt allow this function to happen on diagonstic machine/ tech 2.

    Default

It will indeed be the ballast rather than the cancellers ...
Had the same issue on a cheaper set of Hids ... When replaced with a set from Hids direct the interference went away

actually tech2/vauxcom will and does allow the xenon function to be activated, done this several times now.

re-read your original post - nothing will stop the side repeaters from strobing though

I've also activated after market hids through opcom, helps with start up as sometimes only one of the sides would light up.

As already said by others, you CAN have Xenon mode activated if you don't have Xenon lights fitted, whoever told you that you can't is talking rubbish. I have angel eyes fitted and my local dealer activated Xenon mode for me about three or four weeks ago which stopped my HIDS strobing instantly. As already said in here though, nothing will stop LED side lights strobing, I have LEDs in the halos of my angel eyes so just drive with my side lights on at all times.
