Default Airbox mod Part 22 - Electric Turbo??

Anybody tried adding an 12v fan to the airbox intake on non-turbo petrol models??
Sort of an electric turbo idea.

There are lots of threads about getting ways of getting extra air into the airbox in order to improve engine breathing and performance.
This is another one to discuss the subject.

Nut.ron did, then decided it was a waste of time, so removed it.

What you could to is re route one of the vents in the car to the airbox and 'fan' a bit of paper in front of it.

Maybe I should have posted this in the comedy and humour section.
Plasma, thank you for not taking the urine, it is interesting that Nutron has tried it, altho' you seem to have graced him with an extra full stop in his name.
If you have some spare punctuation marks, perhaps you could lend some to some of the posters on this site who seem to have none.

    DTI-Steve, why not??
It all depends on the amount of airflow produced by the fan.
Using op-com I can see how much air (Kg per hour) the engine uses, but the 100mm high speed fan I am thinking of gives the airflow in cubic feet per hour. The conversion factor is currently unknown.
