Vibration Noise under speed

Morning Gents

Car in question is a Vectra C 1.9 CDTI 150ps model. A loud noise that sounds like a vibration comes from the front of the car when in motion (no vibration through steering wheel etc though)

-The noise happens only when the car is in motion (ie not when revving the engine when stationary).
-The noise increases volume with speed, particularly at 50+ mph
-The volume decreases when the steering wheel is turned then increases again when the wheel is straight (no change in speed, gentle bends etc)

Any help would be appreciated, I'm thinking some kind of driveshaft or bearing issue.

Similar symptoms on my old DTi before I sold it. Reckoned it was the inner cv joints. Check the inner boots for splits. Mine were split. I replaced the boots just before I sold the car

Thanks mate.

I'll check that out. Its going to a mechanic soon for cam belt so may ask him to have a look at that too while hes got it.
