Painted Trim

Right now iv got most the dash and door trim wrapped in carbon fibre stuff but i fancy a change i had a little orange vinyl kicking around so iv done a little on my steering wheel i like the idea of a bright colour but dont like wrapping stuff that much.

so does anyone have any pictures of the dash and steering wheel trim or door handles in any other colours apart from a carbon fibre?

Also i plan to paint it next time not wrap so what kind of prep should i do or can i just spray it on and give it a few coats of lacquer?

You can't really just spray plastic, you need to rub it down and prep the area properly like any other material,(probably loads of coats of polish?)
you should then use specific Plastic Primer then paint, though there are paints on the market designed for interior use, you will still need to thoroughly clean the area first with some strong degreasers, maybe Acetone (nail polish remover is a mild for of it)

ive just done mine mate sanded down with 1000 then 1500 paper then plastic primer two coats then sand down with 2000 paper then wipe and spray chosen colour then lacquer and polish!!

i have sprayed all my vents and center cover on steering wheel but am having to get silver strip and two silver strips on steering wheel proffesionally painted as im using house of kolour candy apple red

sounds a lot better than mine i think il just end up going for a gloss black or lime green.
Do you have any pictures of the vents? iv not seen any different colour vents before doesnt matter if you dont

My air vents are black mate same colour as the car. I ain't got any pics but will take some tommorrow and post them to this thread for you alright matey
