    Default estate rear quarter glass

Hello, right today woke up to find that my car has been broken into and they had smashed the rear quarter glass to get into the boot and was just wondering how hard or easy it would be to replace as I'm picking 1 up on monday, is it bonded or just held in by the rubber? The car is a 2005 sri estate if that helps thanks in advance Ryan

I think they are bonded, but not too sure. I would see if your local "windscreen" man could do it for " a drink". He would know if it is bonded oe not. So might your local VX dealer.

The safeguard is part of the alarm system. I would presume there are electrical conections on the glass that need to be pluged in somewhere when the new glass is fitted.

Your insurance normally covers all glass, not just the windscreen, give it a go.

There are two small connectors under the bottom part of the trim for the alarm which complete the circuit I've got a problem with my alarm due to a break in the wire in the window and to disable that part of the alarm i removed a fuse from the rear fuse box, i cant remember which one but you should find it from a search( fuse 24 rings a bell).

Ive got a replacement window waiting to go in which i picked up from car parts connextion, the window is held in with small bolts around the window which i believe are under the trim.

    Hope this helps

You just need to remove all the trim on that side where the window is smashed.
