Ive repaired my rear interior light today as my ribbon cable was damaged and didint want the trouble of removing the headling so i ran 3 new wires though to the back and follwed the how2 thread for installing an interior light without a rear loom, i removed the front light and there was only one ribbon cable plugged in, i also thought the rear light plugged into the front light but i didnt see a plug for it tbh

ive not changed a vectra but my astra one was taped to head linning so i assume veccy is same.

i think you could maybe unclip the old one and just feed the new one in but im not cetain on it.
have you got the dmaged ribbon still, you could maybe repair it by soldering a piece of wire between the damaged parts
