Default 314mm brake pad removal spring

How do you get the retaining spring off??

I've tried to prize it off, but it looks like its sprung loaded. As the callipers are painted, I've started to chip the paint off, so given up for now.

    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks
I tried that, but started prizing chunks of paint of the calipers. Does it have a spring clip in the middle?

Where do you prize it from?
From the inner centre part out
    or
    The most outer part

    Does that sound like English??

The centre of the spring is a small square with a lug towards the centre of the wheel hub, this lug slots into a small hole in a spring plate that is fixed to the back of the brake pad. Put the screwdriver betwen this spring plate and the plate on the brake and pry them apart just watch the spring clip it can fire out under great tension and do you some damage.
