    Default Signum 1.9 150 prices

Long time member, 1st time poster. I've owned 2 Signums over the past 4 years and now regret selling them both. Currently driving a 2007 2 litre petrol Legacy and it's too uneconomical to drive anymore with the price of petrol these days so I'm looking to buy another Signum when I've sold my Legacy.

I'm just looking for people's opinions on the price of the 3 cars below. I've narrowed it down to these 3 as I want an automatic with circa 50k miles or less that is no older than 5 years.

I'd be taking the car to Ireland so a warranty/tax/MOT is of no interest to me, would this help me negotiate the price down ?

In your opinion what is be the best price I could expect to pay for each of them? The 2nd hand car market is completely stagnant here at the moment and in general the price of a used car in Ireland is considerably cheaper than England but there a very few Signums for sale here.

Ideally I would prefer the 2008 model as our tax system changed in 2008 in Ireland meaning any 1.9 150 registered in 2008 or later is €330 to tax for the year but anything registered prior to that is €658 for the year.

Would I have any hope of getting the 2008 one for £5k or am I mad to expect that much off the sticker price?

    Any help is much appreciated.

Yes that's the one I want too! Do you think I'd have any hope of getting it for 5k?

I think you're right Soulman. How much do you think I could expect to get off the price of that one?

one thing to consider possibly, if you're concerned about fuel economy - the 1.9CDTI automatics are much thirstier than the manual ones. Don't know why there's such a difference, but official vx figures show about 9mpg higher consumption for the 1.9 auto, compared to an equivalent 1.9 manual.
Doesn't make a lot of difference on the v6s, but the 1.9 economy is hit hard when the auto box is fitted.

Cheers for pointing that out. I had noticed there was a massive difference between the manual and auto. A combined figure of 39 mpg for a 1.9 diesel is fairly poor, having said that it's still considerably better than the 28 - 30 mpg I'm getting from my Legacy and petrol is about 5 cent more expensive per litre as well so I'd still be making a decent saving on my weekly running costs. Now all I have to do is sell the Legacy, an almost impossible task !

If anyone is interested in buying it and bringing it over to the UK have a look here,

150' autos give 36 mpg in my Mrs hands, running the kids around, doing urban stuff, slow moving town stuff etc, 150 auto gives me 43/44 mpg on cruise control doing motorway work (where permitted*) at 85/90 mph.

But the mpg cost trade off compares well too the the DMF tradeoff cost
