Anti Dazzle rear view mirror

Right fellas i have just sourced a anti Dazzle rear view mirror for my sri from a trashed Design model at the local scrappy (£12) and im just waiting for the wiring harness and the mounting plate from the dealer (£50) so can anyone tell me in slow time how i will go abouit fitting it ?

I managed to get hold of an Auto-Dimming mirror about a month ago but have yet to get into VX to get a loom for it

So might be doing the same as you in a couple of weeks time

mounting plate ????

1 tip,ididnt use the 'cover' that usually comes with the vec-c which includes the rain sensor,i fitted the cover off a zafira,a bit smaller & neater,espically viewed from outside

and you can put black vinyl to the inside, so it looks even neater from the outside..

Yeh the mounting plate is the black surround that secures and hides it all from the out side, hopefully it will be in stock tomorrow at the Boro VX Dealership

Agree the Zafira cover looks much neater - is that available from Vx as a separate item? I only ask because I want to fit an a/d mirror to my Vec and it's a choice between having the massive cover or cutting off the 'wings' on the mount.

Go to ur local scrappy as there will be plenty of trashed cars from mums doing the weekly shopping trip with covers and ul be able to get one for a few quid however £10 from the VX dealership

Is that a cover from a Zafrra that used to have an auto dim mirror or just the standard one ?
