    Default Stripping a caliper??

    Right, my brake saga continues!

I got the car through the mot, but now have a sticky caliper (my second hand one from a scrappy).

My original caliper is in a lot better condition body wise, except the piston is in 3 pieces.

My question- is it possible to remove the piston out of the scrappy caliper and put it in my original caliper?

If so, how does one go about this?!

    Cheers guys.

    Default

It is possible but i don't think you can get rebulid kits as I build brakes for a living have you got a compressor with a air line so you can blow the piston out you might need new seal's as well.Once you got the piston by taking the bleed nipple out and using the air line to blow out the piston check for score marks if so don't use this piston if you can get a new piston lube the piston with brake fluid and the seals and gently push the piston back in the caliper by using a clamp once you got the piston back in use the air line to push it out but not all the way. Once you are happy with it just put it back on the car
