Default Thermostat changed what a difference

As above, Had mobile mechanic out on monday to change thermostat all as i can say is wow mpg right back up hot really quick temp gauge stays put on motorways etc and drops a tiny bit with blowers on.
All as i can say is anyone who is doubting thermostat listen to people on here and change it, the mechanic just grinded straight through it he says it's like an hot knife through butter then cut through the bracket.

Big Thanks To All Regarding info on Thermostat

Probably because when it does that its gubbed. Poor fuel consumption as the car over fuels amongst other side effects.
