    Default Timing belt fitting

Hi fellas, bit of a dilemma for my mechanic dont know if anyone can help but here goes.
My lad had to take off the timing belt to change the inlet, he told me there was markings already on the cam so he used themas his guide, but now he cant get it right? He,s using the locking tool on the bottom crank pulley. On the cam there doesnt seem to be a cut or mark on the top of the alloy casing?, i noticed theres 3 pins in the timing tool box but he doesnt know where these go? I told him to take the rocker cover off but he tells me this is a major job on its own? Can anyone please advise if theres some way of getting this timing back to where it should be without taking half the engine to bits, much appreciated.

There is no mention of a chain on TIS, just cam gears and toothed belt

When I printed the stuff off for my mates 1.9 a don't remember seeing a chain :/

Always best to mark up with paint pen/ tip ex even if does have marks helps on rebuild.
