    Default Headlight

I was wondering if someone could help?

I drive an 04 Vectra C and recently I noticed that im getting a message on the dash to replace my headlight bulb. However after a quick inspection I noticed that the bulb is fine, however i found the problem.

When i remove the rubber from the back of the headlight to access the connector, i noticed that the plastic connector which the wires and headlight bulb prongs go into is cracked and therefore the bulb keeps losing the connection hence 'change the bulb message'.

Does anyone have any idea what this part is called and where I am likely to find a replacement?

I have taped the plastic just now just to hold it together, but this is only a temporary fix.

    Any help would be appreciated

    Thanks

think it only comes with the headlight mate . best bet get one from a scrappy if you can as be much cheaper than the stealers..

Inside the plastic assembly are standard female spade connectors. Having just replaced a failed HID bulb, I had remove the spades from the plastic by inserting a small screwdriver down the side to release the locking clips and then I simply closed up the gap a little bit with a pair of pliers and clipped them back into the plastic. Now the male spade connectors that came with the new HID bulb hold tight in the headlight connector. Worse case senario, just ditch the broken plastic and push the spade connectors directly onto the headlight terminals - once you've closed the gaps slightly.
