    Default Intake Air Flap Actuator

    Hi All,

First timer to the site here, all help more than welcome.

I have had huge problems with the engine management light on my 1.9 cdti 150, ongoing for months now, really annoying me and my bank account

Great stuff on here to which i have tried to no prevail. I have cleaned through the throttle body & EGR with the help of the awesome how too. I thought I had nailed it.......

But finally it came on and stayed on yesterday (P1125), on close inspection I could here air coming from the Air Flap Actuator, when i put pressure on it. Is that normal? Is this going to be another costly fix?

    confused

I will fire this into the troubleshooting section, first timer lol ty Jacko.

I used the links you both sent me to check the PCB and gasket etc previously, everything seemed in good order, No oil quite clean, athough i gave it a good scrub out anyway and changed the gasket. I thought i had sorted it till now.

I hope with the air pressure releasing, whilst playing around with the Air Intake Flap Actuator (AIFA), that this is the source and end of the problem.

I have booked it in for Tuesday to have the AIFA stripped, fingers crossed. Frustrating stuff!

    Thanks guys,

I used this the last time, to which i thought would fix the problem. The PCB seemed ok, with no oil etc present. I changed the gasket and gave it a good scrub out anyway.

I hope with the air pressure sound coming from the Intake Air Flap Actuator (AIFA) when poking around, is finally the source of the problem.

I have booked it into the garage for Tue to get the AIFA stripped, fingers crossed this is the culprit.

Jacko i moved it to the trouble shooting section TY

****** Hell. I wish I had seen this earlier. I am Darlington and could have given you guidance and it would not have been anything like £600 as most of it you would have done yourself.
