    Default Turbo actuator rod length?

Hey guys, ive had a problem with my turbo which turns out it was the rod had bound itself tight and wouldnt allow any movement.

Ive had the vacuum thing off and checked and now its all working fine, i just need to know how i figure out how long the rod needs to be in order to get the best performance from the turbo?

At the minute the car feels a little down on power, however i have only put the lock nut on by about 4 turns from the shortest setting, when i took it off it was at roughly 6, but when i put it back on at this length i had little power.

Can anyone advise, haynes was useless?

    Default

    Its the 2.0dti.

And ive read countless online articles but its normally aimed at racing and particular turbo's/engines.

The engine runs and seems to have more power than previously but trying to clear a fault code at the same time means i need everything spot on.
