    Default Mot advisory

    Morning all, had an advisory on my mot saying there is play in the back wheels, and yes there is, also there is like a thudding noise when going over bumps, speed humps etc, would this be wheel bearings? there is no whineing noises come from them but unsure of what it could be? any advise appreciated cheers Ade

    More likely to be the upper control arms, also known as Banana arms.

    Yep as above ............ Wheel bearings wont knock on a Vectra/Signum just become noisey

    If you have movement it will be the upper control arms.

    Back in a V6 !!!!!!!!!!!! And lovin it !!!

    A rather vague advisory that one, it should be more specific
    Equally, you can ask the tester to show you the issue on completion, although it is easier if you remain on the premises during the test as they will normally show it to you as they find it or at the end of the test
