Default I really need some help

Hi i hope some one you guys can help. I had a problem with the copper washers that are in the injectors on my vectra c cdti 150, so i got two new ones but had to take the metal pipes of to get the injectors out. The thing is i have fooked up the thred on the rail that the metal pipe goes on to by putting it crossed thred now it will only go to a point then won't go past the part i have messed up, making it p1ss diesal out and not start. The thing that i'm asking is if i took it somewhere is do you think if i took the injector rail off and took it somewhere like a engineering place do you think they could get the metal pipe to go on all the way by putting a new thred or does it look like i'm going to have to buy a new rail (which will cost me loads of money i don't have) Or is there anyone in the northwest on here that would beable to sort this out for me if i ask nicely. By the way my car is a 2006 but is a 55 reg cdti 150 sri. Hope someone can help me.

    D'oh!
It depends on how badly you've crossed the threads - are you sure it's the rail thread that's knackered? I don't know how the threads are heat-treated on these parts, but you would usually expect the rail thread to be much harder than the pipe connection thread and so usually the pipe thread would strip before the rail thread.
If the rail thread is ******ed, you may be able to clean it up or remove the damaged thread depending on the damage.
    Good luck.

you might be able to go to and engineering place and depending on how bad you damaged the thread they might be able to run a die over it to re cut the thread.

if not new rail will be needed.

paul do they do helicoil for extenral threads? ive never seen them thats all
