feel for you i got stuck on m6 for over 6 hours dead late at night till early hours of morning in dec 2000 when we had all that snow in the north west not very nice when you smoke and run out of cigs no food and hungry and to top it off the wife moaning shes cold
Was it a highsided Comet lorry? I narrowly avoided him on my journey and i was in the outside lane! (he was on the inside, gripping onto the steering wheel with one hand and the other bracing himself against the cab and dashboard. The way he was swaying about id be surprised if he didnt turn it over...
Also went passed one royal mail lorry that had driven down the bank into a field. The winds were mad yesterday!
Not nice is it mate, what does get my goat a little bit though is the wagon wheels are expected to keep rolling no matter what the weather, sod the driver he wants his goods,if you refuse to drive the vehicle you are grounded and there's always someone else who will go out,sad really.I say this "you can replace a wagon but you can't replace the wagon driver himself".
To be honest I dont know how he managed to hold the vehicle the way I saw him swaying about. He did pull into the services about a mile down the road so hopefully he would have waited (if not forced to keep driving) as it definitely was not safe.
