got a friend at work and his car is worth well over 8k and im sure if your car is worth 5k or more u have to be full comp im i right or wrong anyone

but why would you only insure a car worth over £5,000 with Third party?

because my mate is thick he has told the insurance company its worth the 8k but only took 3rd party why i dont no but i bought a new car few years ago and because it was worth 10k i had to be full comp

Yip crazy, means the insurance are liable to pay out for less, as if the car is stolen it ain't covered, if the car catches fire it ain't covered. Baffling.

Has he had insurance quotes for both fully comp and third party ?

i have found a few times ,

third party T + T to more expensive than Fully Comp a few times , even though t.p.t.a.t. offers less cover .

Has he just insured 3rd party because he thinks the premium is cheaper and will save him money .
