Vectra 2.2 elite.80.000 mile major service.what items?

I need do do a major service on my 2.2. Vectra C Elite (04 reg).It did not have a major at 80,000 miles.Please can anyone help by listing all items i need to replace and items to be checked as i would like to do it myself.

At 80k i would consider every fluid and every filter, including gearbox if you wanted to go that far.

as above & i would also consider having the timing chain & water pump replaced too

Is there a list i can get hold of apart from the normal oil ,oil filter.air filter,pollen filter,spark plugs fuel filter etc.Does timing chain adjustment need to be checked.Chain and tensioners replaced 3 years ago.

There is one in the service book that tells you what needs doing and when.

Consider doing the Anti freeze too. It has a minimum of a 5 year service life and should have a freezing point of no less than -28c. This not only provides optimum cooling and frost protection but also this provides the best anti corrosion properties for the aluminium engine castings.

probably the most expensive service. Just done my CDTI and now at 82k needs the timing belt doing

But the 2.2 petrol has a camchain, not a cambelt.

Should only ever need changing when it starts rattling.

Does the camchain on the 2.2 direct (z22yh) every need adjustment or tension checking.Mine has now been fitted 3 years.
