    Default Anyone ever managed to...?

Was just working under the bonnet before, having a look at the lower grill so i decided to have a kneel down on the floor in front with my arm inside the front bumper, obviously the bonnet was open and probably my stupid fault with these windy conditions.

Bang, the bonnet shuts on my arm, but, it locks on the catch and yup im stuck...

just wondering if anyone else has stupidly managed to do what ive just done

luckily had my phone in my pocket and was able to ring the neighbour to come try open the bonnet, but the lever to open the bonnet was trapped on my arm so had a bit of a struggle to move my arm and release the catch haha

was one step away from ringing the fire brigade aswell :/

But I have had an 'incident' with the VXR once.

When it was brand new I decided to replace the rear chrome strip on the boot (as I'd managed to scratch the original one removing the badges).

Unbolted one of the holding screws and it dropped into the boot release mechanism and wedged itself so the boot (once shut) wouldnt open again.

Yep you guessed it. Brand new Vectra VXR and boot jammed shut with no hope of recovering the wedged screw.

Ritchie91, sorry, had to laugh. Nearest I came was working on suspesion of an old Vauxhall Royale hatch, on axle stands all done properly, but the car park sloped, gust of wind ansd the lot shifted across and pinned me to the kerb. My mobile phone was on the back seat, so I was stuck till Wendy came out to see if I wanted a cuppa.
Spoons, how did you get it open in the end?

Yeh that film came straight to mind, if if i didnt have my phone i may have contemplated chewing my arm off after a few hours.

Luckily it was only 10 15 minutes, phew

Grumpy1954 you must have been there for more longer than i was, even such a short time makes your mind go wild when theres nobody about haha thankfully i noticed i had brought my phone out with me, just.
