    Default Florida holiday

Family are going to Florida at the end of March for about 10 days. Anyone got any tips on the best way to buy themepark tickets? We do know we will spend more time in Universal than Disney as only one 5 yr old going who loves Princesses the rest of us not so bothered.
Also thinking of renting a convertable as back-up to the minivan.
8 going, 5 adults 2 teenage girls and the little'n.

Something to look forward too, having seen man v food i'm dieting already.

yep buy them here and also double check any adults don't need a visa as it takes weeks and weeks or you have to go the american embassy in belfast, I paid to go a few years back travel agent phoned 5 weeks before we flew out and advised me about it and it takes around 12 weeks in the end i got a refund as i was ill advised. hth they also hold your passport until they issue it

You apply for your visa online and it gives you an instant yay or na and costs $14. We went in october with our twins (2 years old) and been going for many many years. My visa application was pending for a day though (which is rare) but it was due to a change of address since going last time.

As far as tickets are concerned give attraction tickets direct a call on 08009750002 we got a fantastic deal with them. Got 14 day ultimate passes for the price of the 7 day.......But call them rather than via website, tell them what you want and see what they can do for you.

    Have fun, we did.

Oh and as for car we had a soft top a few years back and never again....We all got burnt heads and leather is rather hot when hot lol. Just rent a mustang lol

I always buy park tickets before I go.
Try Net flights for best rate at car hire I find their rates and insurance arrangements good. I go for the deal where you return the car empty rather than full. It does cost a little more but is 'hassle free' trying to fill up on the way to the airport etc. You also get a named driver added on insurance included.
Another thing we did this year was took the toll pass upgrade (when we arrived airport). There are alot of short cuts around Orlando using toll roads. Again you would have to do a lot of miles to get it paid back but it reduces the hassle factor greatly. Depends if your just driving to parks and staying at the villa.
Try Orland water sports complex if you fancy a go at wake boarding/knee boarding and watching some world class riders wake board (search on youtube for OWC) Great fun. Free to park and watch. You pass it on way west from airport on the left.

I went to Florida (Orlando) in the summer, re hire cars, try the smaller companies at the airport, they require less paperwork etc and you might be lucky, We got a brand new dodge challenger for the same price as a small budget car, and also didn't require a credit card or local driving license (which a lot of the other rental companies needed one of!) That company was L & M Car Rental
