Z30DT DPF Re-Gen

Does anyone else notice a slight vibration from extra revs once theDPF kicks in? Also I have noticed that my mileage on the range goes down by about 40/50 miles in a matter of seconds is this the norm? Oh and the temperature shoots up too????-

Yes pretty normal. It uses diesel to burn the soot in the dpf.

Yep, all sound normal, I get the following on a DPF re-gen on my Z30DT:

1. Fuel consumption goes from 0.1 Gal/Hr at tickover to 0.9 or 1.0 gal/hr.
2. Water Temperature goes up from 85 to about 88/89
3. Engine sounds a little bit coarser and has increased vibration
4. Throttle response is different, seems a bit more laggy on acceleration
5. Range will drop by 40 - 60 miles during the re-gen, though largely most of that will come back after some normal driving after the re-gen - I don't think it actually uses that amount of fuel to do the re-gen.

Yeah that sounds about right however mine seems more responsive and has a nice growl to it when I pull off! wish it sounded like it all the time.
