    Vehicle : Mokka

    Trim : SE - Orange Rock 's !!

    Engine : 1.7CDTi

    Year : 2014

    Default Zzzzzzz

has anyone else noticed how many modern cars seem to have a Z in the Registration Number???

Out for a walk today, we found loads, plus 3 different cars with double ZZ in the number plate with in a few 100 yards of each other.

I think they only use 23 letters from the alphabet, so a Z could/should occur once in every 23 cars.

We also noticed that a lot of cars had more letters from the latter half of the alphabet as opposed to the first half.

Or should I just get an anarak and a notebook??

We also spotted a car clamped by the DVLA, the road tax was 6 months out of date.
    Well done the DVLA.

Safe journey, Hope the roads are quiet for you.

This No plate spotting was in New Brighton, and the clamped car was in the new Morrison's car Park.

Mind you, if spotting Z's becomes a bad habit, you might not be so pleased!!

A lot of cars with a Z are NI registered, I believe you can sometimes keep the reg on transfer to the mainland system. I'd imagine there would be a lot of NI cars over here for the holidays.

But ALL new plates have 5 letters in the plate, not 1.

Also a Z could occur in EVERY plate on a street, it's unlikely but possible.

However, number plates aren't issued statistically or uniformly, so you need a new hobby/wife/girlfriend/job etc.

I did'nt see one NI plate today, and all of the Z's we saw were in the last 3 digits, including the 3 we saw with 2x Z's.

I am still on the old wife, best not to mention the girlfriend, I do need a new hobby, and I have a full time job.

My new Vectra (well, new to me, getting it next week) has a Z and the Insignia SE I was also looking at also has a Z.
    As does my postcode.
    And my National Insurance No.
And my No. 1 daughters new Nissan pickup.
And next door's cat is called Zulu.

    Nurse, more pill's please.
