Thread: Y30DT - so is this the MAP sensor?

    Default Y30DT - so is this the MAP sensor?

    If it is, I don't how see how it could be cleaned . Two multi pin connectors and two vacuum hoses, that's all.

    thats the boost presh solonid (sp) ....if your looking for a map sensor you wont find one diesels dont have em ....they have boost preshure sensors it is located in the inlet manifold some where i think down the back its a two pin plug and it is screwed into the manifold ....

    Benny I presume the difference between them is a Boost sensor measures boost and a MAP sensor measures the absolute pressure? Only wondering m8.

    boost sensor goes above air presh .....turbo gives above atmos presh ie boost lol

    map goes bellow air presh ........say a none turbo pertol will run bellow atmos presh with a vacume

    Confirming that this vacumn actuator / electric, is the control solenoid for the turbo waste gate control mechanism....
