Default Just a couple of questions from a Vec noob

I have a plan for my car and I've got queries on a couple of aspects:

    1. I'm wanting to fit the VXR rear skirt to my pre-facelift "C" am I right in assuming the **** end of the facelift and pre-facelift C's are identical? also with my car having the 3.2 V6 I already have twin exit exhausts, will the VXR trim go straight on top of my bumper or do I have to remove/fit anything else first?

    2. My car has ESP & TC is it possible to make the TC switchable? and is it easy(ish) to do ?

    3. I'm looking into converting my dash and switches etc to Blue L.E.D's, I've found a supplier but is this job going to be a ***** to do and how hard are the gauges to convert?

    Thanks in advance,

    Kev

    I will answer Number 1

    Yes the rears are identical...

Yes the VXR Rear Bumper Valance will go straight on to what you have already...

Another option to consider is changing your existing rear exhaust trim to the VXR one (The bit in between the twin exhausts) as it only costs around £25, but you need to get it painted and fitted also... I think it looks much better than your existing exhaust trim

you will need to change the lower bumper skirt and the insert for VXR parts, it just clips and bonds in...yes facelift rear and pre-facelift bumpers are 'nearly' identical enough to be identical..

if you haven't got a TC switch then it's 50/50 one will work, there is no gaurantee, and if it doesn't work then it's game over.. you can't 'make' them work.

i don't know of anyone who has converted their dash, they don't need LED's they're MSD's..so changing them will be 'fun' to say the least..hope you've got a steady soldering hand..

I thought it was all one item as that's what I meant , I see what you mean now though, the insert in the middle with the lines on is obviously a seperate part, and looks like I'll be leaving the L.E.D'S out, I thought it might have been like the astra G etc, old bulbs come out, new bulbs go in

So is it easy enough to attempt? and if the switch doesn't work I can always take it out and things will look "as they were"

you just have to pull the blank out, the part number for the switch is in the relevant forum further down..

if you pull the blank out, just push the switch in.. it will light up if you put the sidelights on, but unless it lights the symbol in the middle of the dash then it isn't working..
