Just wondering do we have any keen gardiners on here ? I love my garden and I can't wait for the summer too come just a question my grass is rather thick probs about 3 to 4 inches if the weather is ok tomorrow I'm going to get in the garden and tidy up the flower beds ect do you think It will be ok to cut the grass or is it too early do you think if I cut it and we ge a frost it could damage the lawn

If you can send pics ov your gardens I'll try and get mine up

    Thumbs up

Suppose with the unsually warm winter the grass as started to grow early, but because of the recent wet weather it will pluck!!!the grass out instead of cutting. I,de leave it for now, and maybe wait for a better day soon...

I was always told not to cut wet grass, I have no idea as to why as I hate gardening with a passion

Yeah it's not good to cut the grass when it's wet it churns up and makes a mess

We've got a gardener, a proper one, it's part of the deal with the house, when you rent it, you have the choice, either keep the garden immaculate as it is yourself or keep the gardener on. I have ten left thumbs when it comes to gardening and this gardens about 10 times the size of our old one, guess which option I chose

I quite like gardening. But on my terms. In other words I cut the grass and tidy it up when I want to not when it needs it. We have many different plants and flowers in the garden, it looks a treat in the summer.

im in to big scale gardening lol ( farming)you will be ok as long as you dont cut it to low have the mower on the highest setting . but after you cut it apply some potash and phosphate that way it will keep your grass nice and green through the winter months and helps it get of to a good start when the spring comes. allso if the air temprature has been above 7 degrees it will continue to grow
