Smile Sneak Peek... Where to earth?

Been working on my car this week, Santa got me a Haynes manual for my Vec, so i've been looking for allsorts to do

Currently have the boot in bits to pop in an Amp and wiring for a small sub

Where do you guys use for an earthing point in the boot?

I've got the O/S interor panel off to mount an amp and the only location i can find near enough is the rear right seatbelt mount for the spool mech. Would that be suitable?

Spent most of the day with the soldering iron wiring up a quick-connect point for the sub itself so that i can easily remove it if necessary without unscrewing it all

    Few pics
Pic 1&2: Panel trim with amp mounted
Pic 3: Holes drilled for power, audio in, and sub-out (looks neater than having them hang out the 3 pre-cut vent holes)
    Pic 4: Quick-Connect port
Pic 5: Non-obstructive mounting of the amp (having realised the panel sits on the wheel-arch, wanted somethign that wasn't going to damage the arch)

I just scrapped the paint away from the boot and drilled hole and screwed earth into that. No problems so far.

Remember to keep the earth cable sort though.

All in. Used the earth point under the O/S rear light cluster.

Working and looks a treat all tidied up

Few more pics, forgot to take a pic of the final result,, will get one tomorrow .

Ran the 12v Live down the passenger side, and RCA + remote down the driver side.

Pic1 is panel pre-fit, was getting the wiring through to the amp and ensuring the cables didn't rub on the bodywork.
Pic2, power cable through into rear quarter void waiting for RCA audio feed fitment
Pic3, RCA feed to run down driver side, relatively easy job
