Halfords Professional Socket set case

Had one of these for quite a while and the silly plasticy hinge on the case decided it wanted to split into two pieces and go in seperate directions... I've enquired as to a replacement but because mine is soo old its no longer available..

I asked how much a new type case would cost me (saw one on ebay today for £40 plus £10p&p, had an offer accepted for £25 though), guy from parts desk comes back and says quite bemused, its free.... part of the lifetime guarantee... No receipt I said.. Fine he says, just bring the old kit in and thats proof for us..

So tomorrow I'm off to Halfords to get a new case ordered up
and possibly buy a few new tools lol... Reminds me SOULMAN I need my TC card back lol

Off to Halfords I go tomorrow.

My catch has been snapped for months but I assumed they would not change it.

Got a few torx bits to change over anyway.

I put 4 inch screws throughout mine both hinges broke

New boxes have metal hinges but are going for like 30 quid on eBay. And theres not a chance in hell I'm paying that for a plastic box that lives in me boot lol

Yeah, the halfords profesional sets are minted... They offer and alway6 honer a life time garuntee on them.. This is the case and all sockets etc... I have nakered I don't know how many of them... all I do is every now and again I go in with the nackered / mangeled bits and they swap them for me right away.. no questions asked etc. Im not even sure SnapOn offers that service!

oh yeah Dean ..jan said thanks it saved her all of £4 ..and I,m clearly marking my new box and bits so as you dont run home with any ...lol

Had nothing but bother with mine, got it bought for me as a present so don't have reciept, everytime something breaks I end up having a right argument with store manager over the situation,

Had 2 new ratchets and god knows how many torx bits, other than that's it's been a good set

Never had any problems with my case either....
