    got a knocking noise when going over speed ramps on the drivers side only, I think its the drop link on that side, is it worth getting standard vax ones or go down the route of so called up rated ones on ebay,

    You can buy ebay cheapies that last 9-12 months, Vx ones that should last cpl of years or more, or the uprated ones that are actually aftermarket but claim to be better than the originals - depends on your budget really.

    Mine were replaced using OE parts in late 2009, as one had worn and one had play, inspected earlier this month and no play
    They should last about 3 years / 60K miles, so might be needing replacing again next year

    Replace both, not just one side, as above the parts cost no more than £20

    i replaced mine with the up-rated SAAB ones,£3 more each than the VX ones £38 each in SAAB Dealers,know there is a post here somwhere with the Saab part number

    These are them. I bought some last year. Much stronger than original spec. £15.31 each.

    The uprated saab ones are not genuine saab.....how did you manage to get them from a dealer
