have you downloaded the Samsung KIES ??
all of the uploads and downloads are done through that .
Thanks Soulman I haven't. Is it just a case of downloading it onto my pc?
yes thats what i had to do ...
not sure about the I tunes bit tho ...
i download and upload my pictures onto here from it ..
Thanks mate I'm hoping that I can just link my phone to itunes and load all my music onto it. I think I'll get one of the kids to do it for me lol
lol good luck ...us oldies havent a clue have we heheheheheee
I have the Galaxy S2, Music can be uploaded to the phone without Kies.
When you plug the phone into your computer, it will show up as a removeable drive (provided this is what the USB setting is set to in your phone settings).
Then it's a simple case of transferring music straight across like a memory stick.
Once you disconnect the phone, it will automatically update your music app with the music available on the phone.
Straightforward and simple
Itunes was a big bugbear with me when i had an iphone, but the Android phones are so much more easily manageable without having to use specific software
Thanks again for the advice. is it eady to move my music from itunes? Or can i actually download it straight onto my phone?
Some of your itunes music may be in protected AAC format (brought form itunes store a while ago) which means you will not be able to copy it over. Newer stuff is not longer locked and it is in MP3 format which you will be able to copy over and play. I think you can convert AAC files to CD and then you would have to rip them to MP3 to put on your S2.
You need to find your Itunes folder and have a look inside to see what files you have.
Also how much music do you want to put onto the S2 as you would need to make sure you have enough memory on the S2
