    i have a 05 2.2 elite auto do these have a chain or a belt ?

    I would say it will be fine. Don't quote me on this but I was under the impression they don't need changing.

    They do need changin on the 2.2s they are known for slippin/ snapping give benny a pm mate

    AM changing mine at 70k, (1.5k to go) i get a 1-2 second rattle on start up but i dont know if its the chain or lifters , but it immediatley clears,

    I think mine is quiet rattley but this forum puts things in your head lol, i have had 3 inspections now from Vx to check and each time they say its ok, the "tapping" noise i here comes from the fuel regulator and i have also been told by Vx thats normal to pulse the way it does,

    I have a warranty on the car also if its needed but i am hopefully gonna see if Benny can do it in Jan sometime

    Ha same as me spenny to the t bin to how meny Vx garages and they said it's fine as did my mate who is a Vx mechanic I also get the 1-2 second noise then it clears straight away
