    Default Crashed the siggy

Just popped out in the car to go to tesco , pulled up behind a fiesta at a roundabout , nothing coming so she pulled away , I check it's still clear and it is so I go to pull away unaware that the girl in front has stalled her car

Went into the back of her at about 3-4 mph

Most of my damage is the number plate and few marks on the front bumper
Her rear bumper was pushed in didn't look too bad till I opened her boot and all the floor was creased up !!!!!

Poor girl had only passed her test last week and was the first time her sister had trusted her with the car on her own ..... Oops

First dibs on the grill Mark if they decide the siggys a write off lol

All jokes aside, this nearly happened to me on Chrismas eve when I was following an old lady up to a roundabout and she stopped dead in her tracks even thought the road and roundabout was completley clear

do newly passed drivers not have to have a green " P " on their cars .

or is the " P " badge just an advisory suggestion .

unfortunately it will be a negative result for both of you i assume ,

your fault because you hit her from behind and her because she is a new driver .

are you going through insurance or are you going to try buy yourself out of the situation .

    EDIT .........

just read about the buckled boot floor ,

so it's a sure bet about insurance being involved .

i doubt you could buy them off with the usual two - five hundred quid , unless they value their 56 Ford very lowly for insurance purposes .

I hope it all gets solve fairly and friendly , considering the compensation culture we live in today ,

did you get witnesses , incase they pull a fast one on you regarding the car or injuries ?

Surely you couldn't have caused that much damage at that speed and without damaging your car? :/

in 2000 , the ford ka got a 3 star NCAP rating .

    in 2008 , it got 4 .

i don't know if the rating is just about the passenger area safety or does it aslo include the other areas like the boot and engine bay .
